Loaves and Fishes

Mary Guetersloh coordinates Loaves and Fishes, which offers limited amounts of food to supplement family meals in cooperation with the South Plains Food Bank every Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.  Limited toiletry items are also supplied when available.  When an individual appears to request food assistance, they are offered more than food.  Volunteers are available to listen one-on-one, express concern and offer prayer upon request.  While joining in prayer is not required to participate in the program, many individuals are comforted in this way.  Several have returned to proclaim answered prayer.  Bibles, encouraging articles, information and brochures from other service agencies are available for the taking.

Donated Bibles would be welcome.  Volunteers to help with the food distribution and to listen and pray with those in need are always welcome.
